Worship and Fellowship behind the ‘Red Doors’ When someone is looking for a church where they may worship, they are ultimately seeking the Savior. The building, location, people, pastor, style of music and fellowship are secondary to the primary purpose, communing with God. We are willing to talk about all those other things, but the question must always be asked, “Can a sinner, who has come to the throne of grace, find God present in the life and worship of this church?” Will denominational heritage, politics and agendas overshadow the true simplicity of Christian expression and worship. As the Pastor, I believe we are encouraging persons to explore, grow and deepen their Christian faith without imposing denominational restraints. Our congregation has grown as new members come from every denomination imaginable and, praise God, new believers have joined us and are making great strides in their understanding of Christ and their own need for a Savior. There was a time when I thought I needed to sell all the benefits of membership, fellowship and being part of a loving community. It’s all here, but I have found the most important thing is realizing that there is a judgment. There is more than this life has to offer. Without Christ you will miss it because you have not shed the shackles of ‘sin slavery’ that leads to death after this life is over. So no hype. If you’re a sinner, we’ve got a Savior. If you wish to be judged ‘acceptable’ to God for eternity, the key is looking like His son, in your heart, mind and attitude. If you want to learn more, come and join us.
